Laura Wilson-North is a British-French destination makeup artist based in Chamonix, in the French Alps, working across France, Switzerland, Italy and beyond for weddings, elopements, events and brand shoots.

Her approach is personal, natural and collaborative. She believes makeup should enhance what is already there, helping each client feel elevated, confident, beautiful and completely themselves.

Based in the mountains, Laura has a particular understanding of makeup for Alpine weddings and destination celebrations. Bright light, dry air, altitude, changing weather and outdoor ceremonies all influence how makeup needs to be prepared and applied. Her work is designed to feel soft and natural in person, while lasting beautifully throughout the day.

Laura’s style is skin-focused and versatile. She takes time to understand each client’s version of “natural”, from barely-there makeup to softly polished skin or a little more definition for photography.

Her love of the outdoors also shapes the way she works. Living in Chamonix, she spends time snowboarding, hiking, biking and exploring the mountains, giving her a practical understanding of how makeup behaves in real Alpine conditions.

Alongside bridal work, Laura also creates refined, modern makeup for commercial, editorial, beauty, lifestyle and performance-focused shoots.
